3 Hours in which you will learn basic operation, needles, threads, proper maintenance, general sewing, needle position & almost all the uses of straight stitch.. This is to include a zipper bag. We provide basic Metrosene sewing thread, some of the fabric, stabilizers and special handouts for the class. Machine Mastery #2

3 Hours in which you will learn applique, zigzag, overlock, blind hem, buttonhole and other sewing techniques which use the zig zag changing attributes of your machine. We provide most of the fabrics and stabilizers for the classes. You provide thread from the last class, applique thread, selected fabric and a button for the class. You will be making a cute scissor bag decorated with the skill building techniques you learn in this class. You will need to provide the items on the supply sheet for the special parts of the class. For gathering & ruffling: 6 pieces of cotton fabric cut 6" x 10"
For Pintucks: 1 piece of cotton fabric 10" x 10" that is not a print but more solidish
For Loops and bias binding: 1 piece of cotton cut 1" wide x 22" bring the other half also but not cut. Example you cut the 1" piece off a 3" x 45" piece. We will have a bias cutting demo. Also bring a piece of fabric such as denim, laminate, thin coating, pre-quilted. You need something to bind.

Bernina Embroidery can be endless no matter which machine in the Bernina line that you use. Come in and learn how to do this technique with a design that we provide for your project. A Mega hoop is recommended.

FABRIC: Solidish fabric with French Fuse already Fused to the back of it before arriving in class. You will need a piece that is 12" x 40-45"
STABILIZER: Tear Away stabilizer of your choice make sure that it is at least 12" x 40"
MARKER: Disappearing marker, ruler that is at least 3" x 14" -longer is fine.
TEMPLATE for your hoop: Please have the templates for your hoops even if you have never used them. You will also need the hoop clips for your templates.
Bernina Circular Stitching Wed. Nov. 3 2:00-5:00 $10.00 Terry

NEEDLE: 80 /12 Top stitching needle or 80/12 embroidery needle, also bring a Wing Needle 100/16
FABRIC: You will need a piece of cotton that is 18" square of Solidish fabric with French Fuse already Fused to the back of it before arriving in class. You will also need a piece of light weight cotton that is 18" x 18" that has been ironed with a 5" hem resulting piece will be 13" x 18". Use a quilter spray starch lke we have in the store to starch this fabric.
STABILIZER: Tear Away stabilizer of your choice make sure that it is at least 18" square
MARKER: Disappearing marker, ruler that is at least 3" x 14" -longer is fine.
Bernina Cutwork Embroidery Wed. Dec. 1 2:00-5:00 $15.00 Terry
Make a table topper using Cutwork Embroidery. Designs will be provided. Cutwork tools will be available for use even if you do not own the cutwork software. There will be a demo of the cutwork software.

Class Registration Policy
Payment is due at registration. After registering, make sure you receive a class confirmation form and supply sheet. Supplies & fabric are extra unless stated. Babies, family members or friends are not permitted in class.
Refund policy
There are no refunds on national teachers. If you can not make the class please find a substitute. We will assume that you are the one coming to class unless otherwise notified. Let us know who your substitute is or give them your registration form.
For our in store classes the refund policy is: Should a student cancel a class, refunds are available if requested ONE WEEK BEFORE THE FIRST CLASS. There will be a $5.00 administrative fee applied to each class fee refunded. No refunds can be given once a class or club has begun, no refunds will be given on kit fees.
In the event that a class must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, individuals who registered for that class will be notified and a full refund will be mailed.
