2009 Bluebonnet Patchwork Trail Shop Hop, held April 16 - 19, 2009 has come and gone in a vision of wonderful quilters and their families who have visited our store during the FOUR days of Shop Hop. There are many pictures below
It's hard to think that we will wait another year for the time when everyone is back on the trail. There will be prize baskets, FREE fat quarters for everyone, cookies and coffee at Creative Sewing Center. We definitely do not diet during the Patchwork Trail. We have lots of cookies. It is splurge time. The prize baskets are displayed and the challenge blocks are given to charity. Every store makes an effort to put their best displays forward. We have a great display of tablerunners, placemats and hot pads using the FREE blocks that you received at the stores on the "Trail". Everyone in our store wore aprons and garments made with the same fabric as our tablerunners. All the teachers made special garments to show that elegant dining is still in fashion. Below you will see the winner of the Grand Prize basket and the winning blocks from the Fabric Challenge. Yes, there is a consideration of not having bluebonnets next year.
Each store gives Ten $25.00 gift certificates away. Some of these ladies have already spent their money.

Be prepared for the competition next year when you decide the block you will enter for the challenge prizes. All the blocks were beautiful but when it came down to winners these were the prize winners. The blocks have since be donated to Habitat for Humanity for the building of quilts to be given in the New Braunfels, San Marcos and Sequin area.
